Devil’s Outlaw is heavily inspired by Hades and other Rogue-like games like The Binding of Isaac combined with horde mode from Gears of War and Combat from Doom Eternal.
I wanted to allow myself to fully focus on my strongest skill, mechanic design. I set up a small arena where I could tweak movement and abilities. Once this felt good, I set up enemy AI and spawned them in waves. This way I could focus my attention on combat and flow, and less on level design.
Once I was happy with how the core game played, I sourced environment assets from Unreal marketplace; SFX, music and ambience from Zapsplat.com to create this final game experience which I hope you’ll enjoy.

What interests me most about the games industry is creativity, immersive worlds, story and most importantly, fun! Game design is a fantastic way to bring fantasies to life with engaging gameplay and storytelling.
My dream is to work with a talented, likeminded team, diverse in creating fun and inspiring games and I am delighted to share the news that I have just been accepted for an internship with Manchester independent games studio White Paper Games. Check out my portfolio
