ENVIRONMENT ART | ArtStation Challenge

Feudal Japan

In his initial response to the ArtStation Challenge, Peter’s thoughts were “Feudal Japan was quite a broad time period which allowed for a lot of room for interpretation.  I especially like fantasy and Sci-Fi and as such didn’t want to leave my environment to be just a historic remake.”   He decided to develop a shrine where you can leave gifts and summon rituals.  The Japanese scrolls in the calligraphers hut identify the shrine as the ‘Animal Shrine’ and the text hints that it is a place for those who wish to command the animals as their soldiers.  The intention is to leave gifts to effigies of the animals, who subsequently grant power to send thousands of critters after your enemies!

Peter Dimitrov UCLan Games Design Graduate 2019 | Environment Artist Rebellion

Peter travelled from Bulgaria to study Games Design here at the University of Central Lancashire. Having spent a number of years specialising in digital illustrations for game concepts, he broadened his 3D skillset during his study at UCLan. For Pete it is the journey, not the destination which drives him and he is  excited to see what the future holds as he continues developing his 2D and 3D skills. Following graduation Pete gained employment with Milky Tea Studios, Liverpool as Environment Artist. In June 2021 he moved to Rebellion and recently completed incredible work on Sniper Elite 5 (2023).
