GAME NARRATIVE | CHARACTER ART

DECOMMISSIONED GAME CONCEPT

In his favourite iteration of the game narrative, Sam set the story in a large city, where machine facilities mysteriously operate and patrol large dead-zones which human inhabitants have fled from.  The player takes the role of a scalper who goes by the name ‘Skull’ who often frequents these dead zones, collecting abandoned goods the machines don’t care for, in order to turn a profit.  However, in a strange turn of events and unbeknownst to her, she has been dropped into this zone by a corporation leveraging her to collect something specific, for a mysterious, and presumably nefarious goal.

SAM ALBANESE | FINAL YEAR STUDENT 2019

Sam is drawn to games as a creative collaborative medium, where people can bring their thoughts and skills together to create unique pieces of interactable expression that neither would be able to achieve independently.  He believes it’s the most collaborative and creatively liberating medium for both developers and players.  For the future Sam would like to find people he synergises with, and where he can apply and develop his 2D skills.  Check out Sam’s  ArtStation portfolio
